Over the past few years, we have been focused on more than just product development — we’ve been perfecting the way hospitals adopt and implement our technology.

Today, NGPOD is no longer a new or untested solution. It is a proven technology in everyday use across 20 hospitals in the UK, Ireland and the Isle of Man, with some sites having used NGPOD for over two years.
In that time, NHS Trusts have purchased and used more than 60,000 NGPOD sensors to support safer nasogastric tube placement.

Moving Beyond Evaluation to No-Risk Pilots
Because the technology is now well-established, we no longer run traditional evaluations where hospitals compare NGPOD to current practice but act on the result from the pH strip interpretation alone. Instead, we’ve developed a No-Risk Pilot Programme.
This structured approach helps Trusts introduce NGPOD quickly and with minimal disruption.
Pilots typically begin in stroke units or other high-use areas for nasogastric tubes, ensuring the greatest impact from the outset. The programme is designed to:
- Minimise staff time needed for adoption
- Deliver immediate cost and efficiency savings for the Trust
- Improve patient safety and nutrition, increasing the amount of nutrition received during a patient's stay by up to 20%
