NGPOD Launched in Slovenia

NGPOD Global Ltd, a life science company, based on Runcorn in Cheshire, have announced Inspira Ltd's appointment as our exclusive distributor in Slovenia.

Inspira, founded in 2018, specialising in clinical solutions for; intensive care, emergency medicine, paediatrics and respiratory medicine, has demonstrated a deep understanding of the opportunity for NGPOD to benefit patients and clinicians in Slovenia.

This agreement results from cooperation between the two organisations, during which a solid commercial and cultural compatibility has developed.

John Carrington, NGPOD Global CEO, said, "This agreement demonstrates the confidence we have that NGPOD is becoming an essential global solution to enhance patient safety wherever nasogastric tubes are used. Inspira has very quickly identified clinicians in Slovenia who are excited to use NGPOD when placing and subsequently reconfirming correct nasogastric tube placement."

NGPOD is a patented device that, in a UK based clinical trial, has been shown to reduce the risks associated with established methods of nasogastric tube placement, which can lead to serious clinical incidents (Never Events) which cause injury and death to patients. NGPOD also reduces the need for time-consuming, costly x-rays and allows patients to receive nutrition, hydration and medicines without delay supporting their recovery.

NGPOD Ltd manufactures the NGPOD system in the UK and has so far, in 2021, created six new high-quality life science manufacturing jobs at their new facility in Runcorn. Further announcements of other international distribution partnerships are imminent.
